About the role
Working with senior stakeholders, sales leads and subject matter experts from across the business, the Bid Manager will manage the end-to-end bid process from qualification through to contract win.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble a bid team, driving and managing the input from subject-matter experts and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end process.
- To manage the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for new opportunities.
- Review tender documentation and conduct research to identify key objectives of the prospective client and ensure these are addressed in the tender. Using the insights gathered, work with the Sales/Wellbeing lead to develop the unique value proposition from the prospective client.
- Working closely with the nominated sales/wellbeing lead write a high-quality, persuasive bid tailored to the customers’ needs.
- Collect information on reasons for win/loss, including customer interviews, to create meaningful Win/Loss Analysis. Communicate to key stakeholders.
- Work with the National team and Head of Business Development to proactively identify and develop opportunities, conducting research on prospective clients using tools like Artesian and Pardot.

Education and Qualifications
Required
- APMP Practitioner or Professional level essential.
Desired
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
Experience
Required
- Proven experience in delivering winning bid opportunities
- Ability to manage the process from opportunity identification through to project delivery.
- Experience writing bid and proposal responses

- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative, with minimal supervision at times.
- Ability to interpret and analyse complex information from a range of sources and present in a succinct and compelling way.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to think and work pro-actively and creatively under pressure.
- Excellent written English skills – preferably with bid writing or related experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (particularly PowerPoint and Word).
