Westfield Health CEO commended for dedicated leadership collecting Business Person of the Year Award

David Capper, CEO of the leading Sheffield-based health and wellbeing provider, Westfield Health, has been awarded ‘Business Person of the Year’ at the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

David, who was appointed CEO of the organisation this year, was awarded for his outstanding commitment to deliver results, dedicated leadership and achievement, entrepreneurial skills and significant contribution to the business community in Sheffield and the wider region.

David has been pivotal in driving the organisation’s vision to becoming a market leader in health and wellbeing, through implementing its new brand proposition and strategy, which is to design exceptional health and wellness programmes, delivered by experts in areas including mental health and resilience, physical activity, nutrition and sleep.

David was also rewarded for his significant contribution to the wider business community, standing as Chair of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Health and Wellbeing Forum and also a member of the AWRC Industrial Advisory Board.

In celebration of the NHS’ 70th birthday and to mark the countdown to Westfield Health’s 100th birthday in 2019, David also announced on the 5th July 2018 a ‘gift to the city’ in the form of a perpetual licence, at no cost, to the Living PlanIT Urban Operating System.

Chairman Graham Moore along with other members of the Westfield Health team, collected the award on David’s behalf due to him being in the US on a business trip.

Commenting on the win, David said: “I was delighted to win the Business Person of the Year award at the 2018 Sheffield Business Awards.

“This is a brilliant confidence boost for everyone at Westfield Health. It’s fantastic to be recognised by the city of Sheffield for the work we are doing to drive the health and wellbeing agenda. We will be entering our centenary year with great determination to make a healthy difference to the quality of life of our customers and the communities in which they live and work.

“2019 is set to be a very special year in our proud history which will see us announce some significant partnerships which we believe will transform the way health and wellbeing is delivered at scale in the UK. I am proud to lead the business during this exciting next chapter and to playing our part in helping people make better lifestyles choices.”
